About UsThe main aim of Mortimer Tennis Club is to have fun.
There is no real dress code. The standard of play is varied for social play and is about having a good time as well as practicing your shots. We don't mind if you are a bit rusty. With only two courts, be prepared to sit out when times are busy. We are not currently offering coaching but when there is enough interest we hope to start up again. Over our season, which runs from April to September, we host a number of social events. We have a tournament and picnic at the beginning and end of the season and we've also been to watch some of the larger tennis tournaments. In the past there have been tennis coaching weekends away. We would welcome members suggestions for other activities. Safeguarding
Mortimer Tennis Club is committed to prioritising the well-being of all children and adults at risk, promoting safeguarding in our club at all times, including all programmes and events we run. This Policy strives to minimise risk, deliver a positive tennis experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns/disclosures. SMPC who own and run the courts will be your contact should you have any concerns. |
Our main form of contact is through WhatsApp where you can check out who will be playing. It also helps to organise further informal play between like-minded members at other times. We have a Facebook page to keep up to date with events and club news.
Although our season runs from April to September, League play and informal play does continue throughout the winter. If you'd like to find out more or want to join please contact our Club Secretary If you are looking to book the courts details can be located via the village information website |
